Specialty Cougar Cake















For a 40th birthday I created this two-tiered Specialty Cougar Cake.

The bottom tier is covered in marbleized fondant in shades of brown, white, beige, and yellow with a big cougar foot print in the front.

The top tier is covered in beige fondant with painted on cougar spots. A big cougar cut-out decorates the top and the entire cake is accented with golden pearl dust.

The flavors were chocolate cake with raspberry fruit filling and chocolate buttercream.

Specialty Fall Leaves Cake

Fall is in full swing and two weeks ago we celebrated Thanksgiving here in Canada. For our Thanksgiving celebrations I quickly created this hazelnut cake with hazelnut flavored chocolate ganache and hazelnut buttercream.

The top and sides are decorated with leaves made from marzipan in fall colours.





Specialty Spiderman Cake

This Specialty Spiderman Cake was created for the third birthday of a customer’s daughter. It is vanilla cake with strawberry fruit filling and vanilla buttercream frosting.

It is covered in red fondant and a spider web is piped on with black royal icing. A big blue number 3 and a Spider Man candle decorate the top. Around the sides are high-rise buildings from gumpaste with royal icing windows.

A birthday message from cut-out gumpaste and Spider Man themed icing decorations are placed on the cake board.
