Cake Pops with sprinkles variety

These are some other cake pops I made using chocolate and vanilla cake. They are covered in white chocolate and some are decorated with gold and silver sugar and rainbow sprinkles.
A tasty, moist portion of chocolate covered cake on a stick!
The girls that enjoyed these cake pops over at our place posted a picture to Facebook which can also be found in our pictures there.
To sum up this week of cake pop/bite/truffle posts a created a video featuring images from those posts. Enjoy!
Cake Truffles!
I am not sure what a truffle has to consist of to be classified as such, but I like to call these little treats cake truffles. They are a smaller bite-size version of the cake pop served in a small wrapper.
I used vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and dipped them in milk chocolate. I also had marble cake which I mixed with raspberry frosting (no marble to see after mixing, only light brown chocolate cake) which I dipped in white chocolate. Decoration again is a chocolate drizzle. Simple, but elegant, especially when using a contrasting coloured chocolate.
Cake Bites!
Continuing the series today’s post is about cake bites, some may also call them cake balls.
These are actually pictures from my very first try at them. I think they turned out quite well, and this should tell you that they are quite easy to make.
I used some red velvet and chocolate cake that was left after leveling layers from a different cake. The crumbled cake was mixed with some left over icing and rolled into balls. After letting them set of a while in the fridge I dipped them in melted milk chocolate. On the finished cake bites I drizzled some more of the melted chocolate.
Cake Pops!
But basically they are all the same: crumbled cake mixed with frosting, shaped and covered in chocolate.
Cake pops stay moist and fresh for an extended period of time due to the chocolate covering. They are also so versatile, as the ways to customize seem sheer endless.
Any kind of cake flavor can be combined with any of your favorite frosting flavors. Additional flavor infusions can be added. The covering chocolate can be flavored and colored in your favorite shade.

Chocolate drizzle decorations can be added in the same or a contrasting color, and sanding sugar or sprinkles can be put on also.Even small fondant or marzipan cut-out can be attached to the cake pop.
The pictures featured in this post are from an order for a Bachelorette Party. All cake pops were individually wrapped in a cellophane bag and tied with a small ribbon matching the covering chocolate.

Matching the wedding colors the cake pops were covered in white and yellow colored chocolate and accented with silver and golden sugar sprinkles. Half of the pops were also decorated with chocolate swirls.
“I just wanted to thank you and give you props for doing such an amazing job on the cake pops.
They’re beautiful! You were wonderful to work with. I’ll pass you on to others looking for a great
baker and I’ll definitely be contacting you for more tasty treats.”
