It’s been a looong time coming.
But I am so excited to present you the new blog design, which also finally has the first-ever Specialty Cake Creations logo.
I’ve been dreaming and envisioning a cleaner, brighter design for so long, but the happenings of living in Asia, a broken laptop (and very limited replacement options in rural Thailand), a month of cross-Malaysia travelling etc. got in the way.
For two weeks we’ve been on Bali, Indonesia now; one of those in our own (rental) place. It’s a beautiful house, far out from the city in the midst of rice fields. Now there are no more excuses and distractions and I finally got to implement my vision.
The new design is up and running, but I am still working on some neat little features (if you also have a blog, you’ll agree with me that a blogger’s work is never done). Aside from the new design and logo there is also
- a now categorized and alphabetically sorted Recipe Index
- no more Etsy shop link (I just can’t keep up with making&shipping cupcake toppers while traveling)
- and there is also a Subscribe via Email box on the bottom of the sidebar on the right, if you would like to receive updates directly to your inbox
If you are following on Facebook or Instagram you’ll know that our place here in Bali has an oven! It’s the first time I’ve seen it in a house in SE Asia. I was so excited to bake again after almost 10 months of abstinence.
So of course there will be more posts and recipes soon and I will also share some of our culinary and other traveling adventures.
