For a third birthday this square cake was created to look like a gift box. Highlight of the cake is a pink gumpaste bow with curly ribbons. There is also a whimsical number 3 standing on top of the cake.
The whole cake is covered in ivory fondant and decorated with a variety of sizes polka dots in lime green, purple, and pink. The name of the birthday girl is written in bold pink letters on the side of the cake and highlighted with disco glitter dust; so are the curly ribbons and the number on top of the cake.
There is a multi-colored pearl border in ivory, pink, purple, and lime green. It was marble cake with milk chocolate buttercream.
After the birthday party Reese’s mom was so kind to send this email and included a picture of the cake “in action”. I love when I get send those shots.
