This was yet another request for just a small red velvet birthday cake with cream cheese icing.
From her husband I knew that the birthday girl’s favorite flowers are gerbera daisies. To capture a little bit of the fading summer feeling I made them from gumpaste in vibrant yellow, hot pink, and juicy orange.
Both, the cake and the cake board are trimmed with thin hot pink ribbon which makes it look a little like a flower hat.
To accent the flowers each of them are dusted with matching fairy dust.
